192kHz Output Upgrade | |||||||
The MSB Network is our answer for 192kHz audio transmission from a player / transport to our Platinum digital to analog converters. The MSB Network is extremely low jitter to provide you with the best interconnection possible to our DACs. The MSB Network has the added benefit of upsampling (4x) at the source of the data. This is the ultimate location for an upsampler because it allows us to upsample the signal at the closest point possible to the source where the signal has not yet been degraded by interconnects and the standard output formats. The MSB Network input is standard on our Platinum series DACs and CD Players. How to use the MSB Network
The MSB Network is two parts, the Input which is standard on the Platinum DAC and CD Station and the Output which must be installed in your source player. The Network Output upgrade installs in most digital products and provides a 176.4 (44.1k source) to 192k (48k, 96k, and 192k source) 24 bit output via the MSB Network at all times. This upgrade, when added to a DVD-A player, will allow the true 192kHz audio to output from the disk rather than the stock down mixed standard 48k output. The cost for the Network Output upgrade to any transport or player is only $595. The MSB Network actually sends the clock signals and data separately (like the Audio Alchemy I2S format). We have found that this upgrade can transform an entry level DVD player into a competitive audiophile CD transport at a fraction of the cost. What it does for a high quality CD transport with the Platinum DAC II Preamp is astonishing. Connections
