Convert your player into a High-End 2-Channel Transport

The quality of a transport is very much dependant on the processing and clocking of the output audio data. MSB has perfected our player upgrade to include all audio formats. This amazing upgrade includes custom digital processing and outputs each format in the highest resolution, including SACD and DVD-Audio, as a proprietary stream on the MSB Network to any MSB DAC.

This upgrade replaces all the audio processing in the player and completely replaces the clocks and clocking of data. Unlike most systems that reduce jitter by reclocking, we create a new data stream using an ultra stable clock. It is amazing to find little difference in audio quality between low cost players and high-end players when the upgrade is installed.

This XPORT upgrade is now shipping! It is compatible with all MSB DACs that have an MSB Network input. I cannot put into words the difference this upgrade makes with SACD, CD and DVD Audio. The SACD difference is quite unbelievable. 

Pick a player with features you like and send it in. It can be any kind of player, CD and SACD or DVD-AUDIO or a universal. Having the features and access time you like and a comfortable remote are more important considerations than the perceived audio quality. We bypass the audio part of the player. The upgrade has a retail price of $995.    

MSB Technology has been doing Audio upgrades for years. We are modifying most Players with the XPORT upgrade. Two very nice upgrades are the Denon DVD-1910 and DVD-1940. Most players can be done but a few have limitations. The Oppo units downsample SACD so it will not sound as good. We cannot do the DV47ai. The Pioneer DV-588A has the SACD converted to PCM, therefore will not sound as good. The Marantz DV7600 will downsample some DVD-As. The Pioneer DV-45A does not work with DVD-As at 48kHz, 16bit, Mulitchannel.

The Xport Upgrade installs in the Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray Universal Player.

The Xport does full resolution of all formats including Blu-ray, SACD, and DVD Audio. It includes comprehensive high resolution processing and provides a 32 bit output at 176 or 192 kHz. The upgrade has no effect on all the other functions of the player. An optional zone free upgrade can be installed for international orders.

The Xport Multichannel Upgrade installs in the Denon DVD 2930 Universal Player.

The Multichannel Xport does full resolution of all formats including SACD, with complete 6 channel Decimation. It includes comprehensive high resolution downmixing and provides a 32 bit output at 176 kHz.

The Xport upgrade fits neatly below the digital output board. All connections are made by ribbon cable. No modifications are made to the base unit. This is an extremely clean and reliable upgrade. A Multichannel MSB Network output is added to the back of the player along with downmixing switches. This is an extra output. All other player outputs work normally.

The full resolution MSB Network output must be connected to any of the network-ready MSB DAC family.
